Privacy Policy

Shillo ("we", "our", "the app") is a personal and shared budget tracker. This page explains what information Shillo collects, how it's used, and how you can delete it.
Information we collect
When you create an account (via Google Sign-In or email and password), we collect:
- Account info: your name and email address.
- Budget data you create: budget names, icons, amounts, and period settings (weekly, monthly, or annual).
- Expense data you create: amounts, notes, and dates you log against a budget.
We don't collect location, contacts, or any device data beyond what's needed to run the app (e.g. a Google Sign-In token).
How your information is used
We only use your data to run the app: showing your budgets and balances, and — if you share a budget — showing its expenses to the people you've invited via its invite code. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Shared budgets
If you invite someone to a budget (or join one yourself), that budget's name, amount, and expenses become visible to everyone in it. Only invite people you actually want to share spending with.
Where your data is stored
Shillo runs on Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication), so your data lives on Google Cloud infrastructure, under Google's own security practices.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account and data at any time, directly in the app: Profile → tap your name → Delete Account. This removes your profile and any budget you solely own, including all its expenses. If you created a budget that others still share, ownership transfers to another member so their shared history isn't lost, and you're removed from it.
Children's privacy
Shillo is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
